Marc

This drawing was done by the wonderful and very much missed Marc Davis. Oscar's Tinkerbell was my young daughter.

Marc Davis, he was one of the greatest! What a momento, Oscar. I envy you for that!

Marc was not only a great artist and a superb animator, he was also a great man. A true gentleman in the full sense of the word.
I have a home video of him talking about animation and the old days shot in my back garden that one day I'll get out of the vaults(And not to mention an audio tape of Ken Harris talking about animation with Richard Williams!)

Davis was the most refined draughtsman of the Nine Old Men. It's such a great loss that 8 of them are gone now - they must be looking down & chuckling at Ollie being honoured by the President (how many presidents has Ollie's lifee spanned?!)
