At the time I drew these, 1961 or 62, I was passionate about the literature of Roberto Arlt (I still am) and I tried to draw in the spirit of this author.Por el tiempo que hice estos dibujos, 1961 0 62 yo era un apasionado lector de Roberto Arlt (sigo siendolo) y trataba de poner en ellos lo que entendia por el espiritu del autor (Pobre Arlt!)

Se acaba de ir Stef, con quien hablamos de vos (bien) y me mostro una acuarelas deliciosas para una muestra que esta organizando con Mat y Gerb. Le pase tu dibujo para que lo "interfiera" (aqui tiene inquietantes connotaciones pedofilas esa palabra).
I see pain, anguish, torture and willies in this art- is this the same in the literature?

Matthew. There is a translation in English by Nick Caistor of "The Seven Madmen" by Roberto Arlt. The American translation is superior but unavailable. Never the less this book is highly recommended!
I don't know the literature but will do some research but I do like the artwork.
It's a rhapsody!
