Marv

I am periodically graced by postcards handrawn by Canadian animator Marv Newland. I have already a very nice collection. Here are two of them.

John Wayne deserves a statue in that famous plinth in Trafalgar Square just for having acted in Ford's "The Searchers"!!!!!

In London is repeated on TV practically every other week...The sequence of the reunion of Wayne with Nathalie Wood sends the same shivers down my spine than those I get when I see Jimmy Stewart kissing Kim Novak in "Vertigo"...Or when the agonising King Kong looks at Fay Wray on top of the Empire State Building.

Which is your favourite movie of all times? (if you have one)

(me has convencido, la cogeré en el videoclub en cuanto pueda)

..."Vertigo" by Alfred Hitchcock, followed very close by "The Thief of Baghdad" by Tim Whelan (And others!)...In both cases it has to do with me being in love with the principal actresses, with Kim Novak and June Duprez...I LOVE "Le Chien Andalou" and I am still trying to find out if the woman who is ran over by a car is Lee Miller or a transvestite, as some people sugest. I was also in love with her (Or was she a he?)...In my childhood I had fallen in love with Edna Purviance, Chaplin's companion in his Essanay Movies.Etc....What about YOUR favourite films!

Buff, Hay tantas que me sería imposible elegir una sola. Pero te diré unas cuántas ya que la pregunta me ha llegado de rebote;

Blade runner de ridley scott, In the mood for love de Won Kar Wai, Hanna Bi de Takeshi Kitano, Queridos Verdugos de Basilio M Patino, Sunset Boulevard del genial Wilder, The Iron Giant, Metroplis de Lang, Mononoke Hime, Lonestar, Local Hero, Adaptation, The Shining, The Shawshank Redemption, Apocalypse now ...no puedo elegir una!!

Siento haberte hecho pasar por esto al hacerte la pregunta:-P

Todavía me quedan un montón de clásicos que espero ver algún día.
