Once in a marble workshop i heard people complaining about the marble dust- saying they hated etc. A sculptor came in and said he would love to have a spoonful of it every morning for breakfast ;-)
Was he Phidias by chance?. Well. In honour to the truth, there is a difference between swallowing marble dust and breathing it, because in the second case you get silicosis
The three separate sets of wings in your drawings of 04, 05 and 06DEC10 are tremendous. Each day they improved. The crow/eagle on 06DEC10 is stupendous and elevates the entire drawing.

It was someone less glamorous than Phidias, not less prolific though ;-)
Some of his works here- don't you just love the internet?

Lee Marvin Newland
We painters need to get courage from somewhere
