Isidore Ducasse

Yesterday I drew for a magazine this picture of the Uruguayan writer Isidore Ducasse, Comte de Lautréamont.

Ayer dibuje para una revista esta imagen del montevideano Isidore Ducasse,
Comte de Lautréamont.

He may have looked sad in the daguerrotype I took this picture from because his banker may have refused him a credit again and he was broke. Lautraeamont was as demonic as Stavroguin, the Dostoyevskian character.

Grazie, Max!
